Shopping in Chapada dos Veadeiros
If you are planning a trip to Chapada, then you must visit São Jorge, Alto Paraiso and Cavalcante. They are small places but with options for shopping. You can pick up pinga de arnica (pinga is strong liquor, while arnica is a spicy vegetable infused with medicinal properties), hippie clothing and crystal items as souvenirs from the shops in these areas. You can buy rocks and crystals at São Jorge. Also look out for decorative items as well as necklaces made with leather or seeds.

In Alto Paraíso
It´s very easy to shop in Alto Paraíso. All the shop places are located in the main avenue Ari Valadão Filho. You can buy mystic items at Paraíso dos Cristais (1173). It is open from 8 am to 9 pm. The shopping centre at Rei dos Cristais, it is open from 8 am to 9 pm. You also find different options to buy at Galeria, besides CAT(Tourism Information Center).
To buy natural things and liquid medicines, flavoured teas, oils, soaps and syrups made with bark cured in wine, herbs and roots at Tom das Ervas store.
Paraíso dos Pândavas is a good store wiht natural and alternative things.
You can buy jellies and liqueurs at Rancho do Valdomiro, which is on the road to São Jorge, about 19 km (or 12 miles) away. It´s a very good tipical restaurant too.
Alto Paraíso
In Cavalcante
There are a fell options to shopping at Cavalcante. There is the Canto do Brasil Handicraft store 300mts from the city, in th Colinas do Sul road. Different things you can find at Reserva Bacupari (Reserve) that practices the fair trade with the community artists.
In the main square you can find Bell Magazine, it sells clothes in general and bath clothes. In the main avenue Av. Silvino Ferreira da Silva you can find other options of shopping.

There are small stores in the centre, near to the main square São Jorge. Also you can find a good store at the Pousadas, especially at Pousada Casa das Flores.
