Covering approximately 31 hectares (78 acres), the lodge is located in the Vale das Araras Private Natural Heritage Reserve, inside the green belt surrounding the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park. The reserve can be considered as an important link in the protective chain around the park, since it provides food and shelter for many local animal species, creating a kind of ecological corridor between areas that have been modified by human activity.
